Character design for a new range of reusable nursing pads by Just'nCase.
Just'nCase use their superior textile technology to create reusable nursing pads for breastfeeding mothers. Competitors in the field sell commoditised plastic-backed disposable's with little brand recognition or personality.
I created two distinctive personalities for the pads which served to communicate the brand values and unique selling points. The personified pads have been used as a vehicle for advertising and organic social media content.
Each character was designed to have a distinctive personality and tone of voice:
"Hi! I'm Mother Nature 🍃. My friends describe me as soft and gentle on the inside, but fiercely protective on the outside, with an impenetrable leakproof layer to keep you dry and secure. I'll always be there for you when you need me and I'm just as reliable as my original friend - (but so much cuter! 😉). Let's be breast friends 💜"
"Hi! We're all about Love and Kisses 😍😘. We're big softies - in tune with our emotions and loyal right through to our leakproof core. Physical touch is our love language so keep us close to your heart and we'll stick around, right where you need us to keep you dry and comfortable day and night. We're 100% here for you so you can relax and enjoy your beautiful baby with one less thing to worry about. Go mama - you're doing a great job 🙌"
